Jackie Robinson, the man who broke the color barrier in professional baseball, debuted for the Brooklyn Dodgers on April 15^th 1947. In his 10 year MLB career with The Brooklyn Dodgers, Robinson would be named the Inaugural Rookie of the Year, be a 6 time All Star, win the 1955 World Series, (the 1^st World Championship for the Dodgers) as well as be awarded the MVP in 1949. His number, 42, has been retired by all Major League teams.
