Vincent Edward Scully is considered by many to be The Voice of Baseball. He began his baseball broadcasting career in 1950 with the Brooklyn Dodgers and would remain the team’s radio and television announcer for 67 seasons until his retirement in 2016. Over his career Vin Scully would win the Ford C. Frick Award, the Commissioner’s Historic Achievement Award, a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, be inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame, and be award the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2016.
Vin Scully would call his final game on October 2nd 2016 when The Dodgers played The Giants in San Francisco.
